The second track I offer you to (re)discover on my site is not really unknown.

This track was a big disco anthem during the last years of disco in club such as "The Loft" or "The Paradise Garage". At first recorded in 1982 in a NYC church, it has been mixed by Tony Humphries for its release in 1985.

The Larry Levan remix was pretty unknown until it was re-discovered a few years ago thanks to the Tigersushi team and the release of K.I.M.’s mixed CD "Miyage" in 2003. It was then used again in Optimo’s mixed CD "How To Kill The DJ (Part Two)" for Kill The DJ Records in 2004.

As far as I know, this remix never came up on vinyl record. The original song is available on the 4xLP "Azuli Presents Louie Vega – Choice – A Collection Of Classics".

So here it is, the Paradise Garage’s lead DJ Larry Levan’s remix of this all time classic!

Ce morceau a été un énorme tube disco durant les dernières années disco dans des clubs tels que "The Loft" ou "The Paradise Garage". Enregistré en premier en 1982 dans une église de NewYork, il a été mixé par Tony Humphries pour sa sortie en 1985.

Le remix de Larry Levan était relativement peu connu avant qu’il ne soit redécouvert il y a quelques années grâce à l’équipe de Tigersushi et la sortie du CD mixé "Miyage" par K.I.M. en 2003. Il a ensuite été utilisé de nouveau dans le CD mixé d’Optimo "How To Kill The DJ (Part Two)" pour Kill The DJ Records en 2004.

Autant que je sache, ce remix n’est jamais apparu en vinyle. Le morceau original est disponible sur le 4xLP "Azuli Presents Louie Vega – Choice – A Collection Of Classics".

At this time where all the new french touch praise Justice and other artists from the Ed Bangers team, it’s good to have look back in history and to allow to make discover their inspirations and to remember the quality of some productions too easily forgotten by some.

Therefore, we can see lots of fans getting crazy on the track "Phantom" from Justice, very good track indeed and witch has a deserved success among the audience. But, where Justice can make some really nice things from scratch, they got too fast on the easy way of sampling and simply taken the most parts of a fantastic track from the italian band Goblin, in where was the genius Claudio Simonetti, well known for his productions for Easy Going and Vivien Vee.

Here is then, for those who didn’t knew it, the original, the track "Tenebre" taken from the original score of the same name movie produced by Dario Argento in 1982.

A l’heure ou toute la nouvelle french touch fait les éloges des Justice et autres artistes de l’écurie Ed Bangers, il est bon parfois de remettre un peu d’ordre dans l’histoire et de faire découvrir leurs inspirations et rappeller au souvenir commun la qualité de certaines productions trop vite oubliées par certains.

Ainsi, on voit de nombreux fans s’extasier sur le morceau "Phantom" de Justice, très bon morceau au demeurant et qui a un succès mérité auprès du public. Seulement, là ou Justice peut parfois faire de très bonnes choses de A à Z, ils ont été un peu vite dans la facilité du sample et ont tout bonnement repris l’essentiel d’un fantastique morceau du groupe italien Goblin, composé entre autre du génial Claudio Simonetti, bien connu également pour ses productions pour Easy Going et Vivien Vee.

Voici donc, pour ceux qui ne le connaissent pas, l’original, le morceau "Tenebre" tiré de la bande originale du film du même nom produit par Dario Argento en 1982.
